Method

When you have charged 4 summer ward stones and 4 winter ward stones you gain access to the Dream Labyrinth. Visit Vanys in the Summer Court or Undal in the Winter Court and ask for a task.

Player: hi

Vanys: Greetings hero. I guess you came to talk.

Player: task

Vanys: Travel to the Dream Scar and fight battles in the name of any of one of the Courts to gain access to the lower caves. Then enter the Cave of Woe to challenge the now weakened Nightmare Beast.

Player: hi

Undal: Greetings hero. I guess you came to talk.

Player: task

Undal: Travel to the Dream Scar and fight battles in the name of any of one of the Courts to gain access to the lower caves. Then enter the Cave of Woe to challenge the now weakened Nightmare Beast.

The Dream Labyrinth can be accessed via a yellow portal from the Summer Court and blue portal from the Winter Court.

You will end up in different locations of the Dream Labyrinth depending on what portal you use.

In the Dream Labyrinth you will have to solve 7 puzzles to unlock 7 different doors.

The Seven Keys

The keys to the doors are not really keys, they are puzzles.

The Door with Roses

To gain access to The Door with Roses you will need a rosebush. It can be found in Court of Summer on the second floor of the building.

Go into the portal just south-west of where you found the rosebush. Run all the way south until you see a garden.

Use your rosebush on the small heap of earth to plant a flower. You now have access to the green portal. The portal takes you to a part of the labyrinth that is half summer and half winter. There is a painting in the south-east corner that you can use magical paint on which allows you to travel between summer and winter areas of the labyrinth by using the painting.

The Painted Door

Use magical paint on a painting in the north-east or south-east part of the labyrinth to get access to the Painted Door.

To obtain magical paint, do the following:

Alternatively, just buy the required items.

Now mix the items:

Take the portal from Summer Court and run all the way south where you planted a rosebush. Find a painting (next to the blue arrows) and use the magical paint on it. You will now be able to travel by using the paintings and have unlocked the Painted Door on the lower floor.

The green arrow is passage by using the green portal.

The blue arrow is passage by using the paintings.

The Ice Bird Door

To open the Ice Bird Door you will need to eat a colourful mushroom.

You can pick a colourful mushroom from a tree stump to the west of the Courts of Summer every 20 hours.

When you've collected the mushroom, simply eat it and you will be able to open the Ice Bird Door.

The Stone Door

This is very simple. Get a flask of Medusa's ointment from The Cursed Crystal Quest and use it on the Stone Door to get access to it.

The Invisible Door

You will need a ghostsilver lantern from the death portal in the Forgotten Knowledge Quest for this door.

Make sure your ghostsilver lantern is lit (blue) and use the door to pass. This item must be in your backpack every time you want to use the door.

If you do not have the lantern or if it's not lit when you use the door, you will not get to the other side and the following message will appear: Without a lighted ghostsilver lantern you won't find the door handle, even by feeling for it.

The Skull Door

For this door you will need to find four items: anatomy book, troll skull, minotaur skull and orc skull.

Anatomy book can be found in a bookcase on the base floor in the Court of Summer.

The easiest way to find troll skull is to take the portal from Court of Winter. The troll skull is in a treasure chest to the north-west.

To find the minotaur skull, use the portal from Summer Court and walk south. Go down the ramp on the right side. The minotaur skull is in a brass-shod chest to the north.

Head to Winter Court and go up the ramp to the west. Walk south and you will see a frozen chest. Open it to obtain orc skull.

Find your way to the Skull Door on the second floor of the labyrinth.

Use minotaur skull on the left coffin, orc skull on the middle coffin and troll skull on the right coffin.

You now have access to the Skull Door.

The Empty Door

You must solve all puzzles to be able to go through this door.

For the empty door you will need an old lock. You will have to find an old desk and remove the old lock from it with a pick. Use the pick in the top right corner and the old lock will come off.

The minimap to the right shows the pathing if you use the portal from Summer Court.

Use the old lock on the door to attach it.

When you have unlocked all the doors you will receive the Keeper of the 7 Keys achievement which means that you have access to the whole Dream Labyrinth and can enter the teleporter to the Dream Scar to fight bosses.

The Dream Scar

The portal to the Dream Scar is between the Painted Door and Empty Door. The fastest way to get there is to enter from Summer Court, go down the ramp and through the Painted Door, then walk east until you see a yellow portal.

When you enter the portal you will end up in a small area with creatures from both Summer and Winter Court. In the centre there are 4 tiles that are half sun and half snowflake. Step on either tile to be teleported to the Dream Scar.

Here you can fight bosses that rotate every server save.

Before fighting, talk to one of the dreamelves to the north.

If you want to fight for the Summer Court, visit Shirtalis of The Summer Court to the west.

Player: hi

Shirtalis of The Summer Court: Hello Fighter. I guess you are you here to fight four our noble cause.

Player: fight

Shirtalis of The Summer Court: We allow able champions of all races to fight for our cause against the challenges of the arena. So are you interested? I'm not interested in fancy wordplay, so a simple yes or no will suffice!

Player: yes

Shirtalis of The Summer Court: Excellent! From now on, you will fight your battles under the banner of the court of summer! So go and fight for the glory of the summer court!

If you want to fight for the Winter Court, visit Farhilorn of The Winter Court to the east.

Player: hi

Farhilorn of The Winter Court: Hello Fighter. I guess you are you here to fight four our noble cause.

Player: fight

Farhilorn of The Winter Court: We allow able champions of all races to fight for our cause against the challenges of the arena. So are you interested? I'm not interested in fancy wordplay, so a simple yes or no will suffice!

Player: yes

Farhilorn of The Winter Court: Excellent! From now on, you will fight your battles under the banner of the court of winter! So go and fight for the glory of the winter court!

Head to the north where you will see a magic forcefield. Step into it to be teleported into a room with a lever with space for up to 5 players.

Alptramun

Alptramun

After entering the fight, unpleasant dreams will start to appear. If you kill them, even stronger summons will appear. The order is unpleasant dream, horrible dream, nightmarish dream, mind-wrecking dream and finally mixed summons.

It has to be the last minion phase for the boss to be killable or else it will keep saying Invulnerable! and not go under 1 hitpoint. Your team should try to make the harder minions spawn when the boss is as close to lethal health as possible to make it easier and less messy.

Alptramun is healed by death damage so avoid using it. It will also heal itself when it hits players with the death beam and life drain wave. These attacks will heal at least 1000 life and Alptramun uses one of them, or both, almost every turn. Try to position it so it faces away from players.

Both Alptramun and the minions go invisible.

Malofur Mangrinder

Malofur Mangrinder

There will be plenty whirling blades in the arena together with Malofur Mangrinder. These are to be avoided as they can deliver quite the damage. A good spot is to the north-west.

The fight is pretty straightforward, find a good spot (north-west corner) and focus the boss. The blocker should use the Challenge Formula: exeta res 30 Mana Level: 20 Price: 2000 gp. Cooldown: 2s. Group cooldown: 2s. Premium Promotion Usable by classes: Knight Paladin Sorcerer Druid Created in patch: 6.6 (Darashia) Challenge spell every now and then.

This boss has a strong attack. Malofur will slow down and start channeling RAAAARG!!! I'M MASHING YE TO DUST! followed by

If the knight is high enough level, they could just stand still while keeping the boss on them with the Challenge Formula: exeta res 30 Mana Level: 20 Price: 2000 gp. Cooldown: 2s. Group cooldown: 2s. Premium Promotion Usable by classes: Knight Paladin Sorcerer Druid Created in patch: 6.6 (Darashia) Challenge spell and take Malofur's smash to the face and let the druid heal them.

To make this fight easier, use plenty of physical resistance.

Maxxenius

Maxxenius

Maxxenius is healed by energy damage. Avoid using this element.

The iron floor that goes around the whole arena is to be avoided as it pulsates energy every 3 seconds.

There are 3 generators in the arena. These pulsate energy around them that hurt players and heal Maxxenius. Try to position Maxxenius to the the north-west, east or south-west to avoid the generators from touching the boss.

Every now and then a player will be transformed into an energy elemental. This player will discharge after 5 seconds and deal 1000-1500 energy damage to anything that is nearby. To avoid healing the boss, run out of range.

Basically, don't let Maxxenius touch anything that deals energy damage or it will heal him.

Plagueroot

Plagueroot

Plagueroot is healed by earth damage. Avoid using this element.

Plagueroot spawns together with a few plant attendants. The max amount of plant attendants that can be in the arena at once are 3. Their vines heal other nearby creatures for up to 1000 health. A secondary player should hold the plant attendants while the main blocker permanently uses Challenge Formula: exeta res 30 Mana Level: 20 Price: 2000 gp. Cooldown: 2s. Group cooldown: 2s. Premium Promotion Usable by classes: Knight Paladin Sorcerer Druid Created in patch: 6.6 (Darashia) exeta res on Plagueroot.

There are focus of corrupted nature spread across the arena which are harmless for players to step on, although when a plant attendant does so it will turn into a plant abomination and the following message appears: The vile energy changes the attendant horribly! Their smoke beam deals a lot of damage, so try to avoid it.

Plant abominations explode after about 10 seconds and deal damage. As they explode, the following message appears: THE ABOMINATION VIOLENTLY EXPLODES!

New plant attendants will respawn.

Plagueroot heals for 10,000 health when it steps on focus of corrupted nature.

Sometimes Plagueroot will teleport somewhere else in the arena and shoot a vine beam in all 4 directions that deals over 1000 damage. It will say PLAGUEROOT TUNNELS TO ANOTHER PLACE! when it does so. It will stand still for a few seconds so the blocker should have enough time to run there and use Challenge Formula: exeta res 30 Mana Level: 20 Price: 2000 gp. Cooldown: 2s. Group cooldown: 2s. Premium Promotion Usable by classes: Knight Paladin Sorcerer Druid Created in patch: 6.6 (Darashia) exeta res before it moves.

The Cave of Woe

When you have 5 victories in The Dream Scar you gain access to the Cave of Woe where you are able to fight the final boss of this quest, The Nightmare Beast. It can be fought by a team of up to 10 players.

His hideout is just west of the entrance to the Dream Scar, behind a sign that says Restricted Area. Go down once more after that and you will find yourself in a small room with a magic forcefield to the north.

Enter the magic forcefield to access the lever room.

If you have not killed 5 bosses in the Dream Scar you will not be able to enter and the following message will appear: You are not worthy! You need at least five arena victories to enter!

The Nightmare Beast

The Nightmare Beast

The Nightmare Beast spawns together with 4 nightmare tendrils. The tendrils deal up to 700 melee damage and have a smoke beam that can deal over 1000. They run on very low health, so you could try to make them run to not have to deal with them until they heal back up.

Alternatively, have a secondary blocker to hold the tendrils while the main blocker focuses on holding the boss.

The tendrils will respawn if they were to die.

The Nightmare Beast heals when it damages players with its death ball spell. Let only the main blocker be hit by it to minimize its healing.

The Nightmare Beast will put a curse on a player. The following message will appear for the player that gets cursed: The beast laid a terrible curse on you!

When a player is cursed, they will appear as a spectre. After 15 seconds they turn into a phantasm. Your team now has a 10 second window to cure this player or the player will be kicked out of the fight.

To cure the cursed player, another player has to use a dream catcher on them (you cannot use dream catcher on yourself). Use the dream catcher pole in the centre of the arena and a dream catcher will appear in front of it.

The player that uses a dream catcher on someone else will most likely then get cursed themself, but the curse might also be removed temporarily. Your team will have to keep curing eachother until the boss is defeated.
